NO. 2-D S5000 | Diesel Fuel Oil Testing According to ASTM D975

ASTM D975, Standard Specification for Diesel Fuel Oils, defines and provides specifications for No. 2-D S5000 fuel oil.

No. 2-D S500 is a low sulfur middle distillate fuel used for general purpose diesel engine applications with varying speed and load with less than 5000 ppm sulfur allowed.

Paragon is capable of performing a majority of the analysis related to the testing of No. 2-D S5000 fuel oil according to ASTM D975 Table 1 requirements.

Procedures included on our A2LA Scope of Accredidation to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 are designated as such.

[1] ASTM D2622 is listed in ASTM D975 as the referee method for sulfur analysis on S5000 grades. ASTM D5453 can be used as an alternative test procdure. Section 5.1.8 of ASTM D975 states that ASTM D5453 is appropriate for all grades of diesel fuel oil. Paragon currently offers analysis by ASTM D5453.
