We are excited to announce that this position has been filled.

Paragon Laboratories, Inc. is a growth oriented analytical laboratory located in Livonia, MI. We provide services to a wide range of clients with various analytical needs. We are currently accepting applications to fill multiple full-time, non-exempt positions of Chemist (Analyst I).

We are looking to fill multiple positions with work schedules of Sunday through Thursday, Monday through Friday, and Tuesday through Saturday.

Standard working hours for all positions are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The selected candidate must be a US Citizen or possess a valid unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.


  • Perform chemical, physical, and biological tests on waters, soils, fuels, and other matrices
  • Perform tests according to SM, EPA, ASTM, and internal procedures
  • Perform tests using manual and instrumental techniques
  • Perform serial dilutions, titrations, distillations, qualitative evaluations, and calculations
  • Use and maintain various laboratory equipment including balances, multimeters, density meters, titrators, corrosion baths, and spectrophotometers
  • Monitor laboratory equipment and procedure performance
  • Maintain proper documentation for QA/QC purposes
  • Assist in the development of procedures and supporting documents
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Plan daily tasks effectively
  • Other duties, as assigned


  • Must have a college degree (Bachelor’s or above) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other applicable discipline
  • Must have prior experience in a laboratory environment (academic or work setting), minimum 1 year
  • Must be detail oriented with regard to practices, procedures, and documentation
  • Must be capable of working independently, with energy and motivation
  • Must be a quick learner with a desire to expand a skill or knowledge base
  • Must be team oriented
