NO. 4-D DIESEL FUEL OIL CERTIFICATION ACCORDING TO ASTM D975

ASTM D975, Standard Specification for Diesel Fuel Oils, defines and provides specifications for No. 4-D fuel oil. No. 4-D is a heavy distillate fuel, or a blend of distillate and residual oil, used for low and medium speed diesel engine applications involving primarily constant speed and load.

[1] ASTM D129 is listed in ASTM D975 as the referee method for sulfur analysis on S5000 grades. ASTM D5453 can be used as an alternative test procdure. Section 5.1.8 of ASTM D975 states that ASTM D5453 is appropriate for all grades of diesel fuel oil. Paragon currently offers analysis by ASTM D5453.
