NO. 2-D S5000 DIESEL FUEL OIL CERTIFICATION ACCORDING TO ASTM D975
ASTM D975, Standard Specification for Diesel Fuel Oils, defines and provides specifications for No. 2-D S5000 fuel oil. No. 2-D S500 is a low sulfur middle distillate fuel used for general purpose diesel engine applications with varying speed and load with less than 5000 ppm sulfur allowed.

[1] ASTM D129 is listed in ASTM D975 as the referee method for sulfur analysis on S5000 grades. ASTM D5453 can be used as an alternative test procdure. Section 5.1.8 of ASTM D975 states that ASTM D5453 is appropriate for all grades of diesel fuel oil. Paragon currently offers analysis by ASTM D5453.
