DIESEL FUEL OIL CERTIFICATION ACCORDING TO ASTM D975
ASTM D975, Standard Specification for Diesel Fuel Oils, defines and provides specifications for seven grades of diesel fuel oil. From grade to grade, there are slight variations in the specifications for the physical and chemical composition of the fuel, as well as the preferred (referee) methods used to provide certification according to the standard. To compare your needs to our capabilities, please select the appropriate diesel fuel oil grade from the table below to view our listing of capability.
ASTM D975-11, Approved March 1, 2011
| No. 1-D S15 |
Ultra-low sulfur (ULSD) light middle distillate fuel used in diesel engine applications that require higher volatility than No. 2-D S15 with less than 15 ppm sulfur allowed. |
| No. 1-D S500 |
Low sulfur light middle distillate fuel used in diesel engine applications that require higher volatility than No. 2-D S500 with less than 500 ppm sulfur allowed. |
| No. 1-D S5000 |
Regular sulfur light middle distillate fuel used in diesel engine applications that require higher volatility than No. 2-D S5000 with less than 5000 ppm sulfur allowed. |
| No. 2-D S15 |
Ultra-low sulfur (ULSD) middle distillate fuel used for general purpose diesel engine applications with varying speed and load with less than 15 ppm sulfur allowed. |
| No. 2-D S500 |
Low sulfur middle distillate fuel used for general purpose diesel engine applications with varying speed and load with less than 500 ppm sulfur allowed. |
| No. 2-D S5000 |
Low sulfur middle distillate fuel used for general purpose diesel engine applications with varying speed and load with less than 5000 ppm sulfur allowed. |
| No. 4-D |
Heavy distillate fuel, or a blend of distillate and residual oil, used for low and medium speed diesel engine applications involving primarily constant speed and load. |
